Great news for residents participating in the 2026 Graymoor-Devondale Tree Planting Program!
The City has received an update from its landscaping contractor regarding the anticipated installation schedule for this year’s trees.
Tree planting is expected to begin around mid-November 2026, weather permitting.
Why Are the Trees Being Planted in November?
While many residents may be eager to see their new trees installed, the timing is intentional.
According to the City’s landscaping contractor, trees cannot be dug from the field until their leaves have fallen. Suitable late-fall weather and soil conditions are also important for safely digging and transplanting the trees.
Waiting until these conditions are met helps support the planting process.
What Should Participating Residents Expect?
