Halloween is almost here, and Graymoor-Devondale is getting ready for an evening of costumes, candy, decorations, and neighborhood fun!
Whether you’re taking little ghosts and goblins trick-or-treating, handing out candy, or simply enjoying the festivities, we encourage everyone to help make Halloween a safe and enjoyable celebration.
👻 Halloween Safety Reminders
With more children and families walking through the neighborhood, a little extra caution goes a long way!
Here are a few friendly reminders:
- 🚗 Slow Down! Watch carefully for children crossing streets, especially near intersections and parked vehicles.
- 🔦 Be Visible! Encourage trick-or-treaters to wear reflective accessories, carry flashlights, or use glow sticks.
- 🏡 Keep Walkways Clear! Make sure sidewalks, steps, and driveways are free of obstacles.
- 🍬 Keep Our Neighborhood Clean! Please dispose of candy wrappers and other litter properly.
- 👨👩👧 Stay Together! Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- 💧 Stay Hydrated! Even on cooler evenings, it’s important to drink water while enjoying the festivities.
And remember, the scariest thing on Halloween should be the costumes — not someone’s driving!
