City News|

Fall is here in Graymoor-Devondale! As the leaves change colors and begin covering our lawns and streets, it’s a great time to enjoy the beauty of the season while keeping our community clean and well-maintained.

The City would like to share a few friendly reminders about fall leaf collection and neighborhood cleanup.

🍁 Leaf Collection Guidelines

Residents are reminded of the following:

  • Use paper bags. Collected leaves should be placed in paper yard-waste bags.
  • Regular collection days. Bagged leaves are collected on your normal trash collection day.
  • Consider mulching. Instead of bagging every leaf, consider using your lawn mower to mulch them. Mulched leaves can provide valuable nutrients for your lawn.
  • Help a neighbor. If you know someone who may have difficulty managing fall yard cleanup, consider lending a helping hand.

🌳 Mulching: An Easy Alternative

Did you know that fallen leaves can actually benefit your lawn?

Mulching leaves with a lawn mower breaks them into smaller pieces that can naturally decompose and return nutrients to the soil.

It’s an easy way to reduce the number of bags needed while supporting healthy grass and soil.

🏡 Keeping Graymoor-Devondale Beautiful

As we move through the fall season, we encourage residents to keep sidewalks and public areas clear of accumulated leaves and yard debris.

A little extra effort from everyone helps preserve the beauty and welcoming character of our neighborhood.

And remember, helping a neighbor with seasonal yard cleanup is a wonderful way to show the community spirit that makes Graymoor-Devondale special.

Thank you for helping keep Graymoor-Devondale clean, beautiful, and welcoming this fall!
